Please describe your involvement in AAED.

My involvement in AAED has been extensive and a true joy. I have created curriculum for the Orange Course and presented multiple times, delivering course material with some of the highest satisfaction scores. I delivered a five-minute presentation at the conference luncheon and attended multiple conferences and tours throughout my tenure. Most recently, I have served as Vice Chair and now Chair of the Workforce Committee, where our participants and attendance have more than doubled.

Which committees have you served on?

Professional Education and Workforce Committees.

Why do you want to serve as a member of the AAED Board of Directors?

I believe in AAED and what it represents. As someone five years ago who was new to economic development, a huge part of my learning came through AAED. I have jumped in with both feet and looked to lend my skills and abilities when and wherever needed. Having served and matriculated within the organization, the next logical step is to help shape its future. I believe my perspective, as a member, committee member, leader, moderator, and instructor, provides the baseline skills needed. My work in the City of Buckeye and organizations such as Westmark, WEST-MEC, Aqua Fria, and Buckeye Elementary’s Foundation, along with my civic engagement, make me an ideal candidate, and I would count it a privilege to serve.
