ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE SANTA CRUZ RIVER IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, ARIZONA

The Sonoran Institute seeks proposals from qualified firms to conduct an economic analysis of the Santa Cruz River in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. This project, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) administered by the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA), will evaluate community and ecosystem benefits of the river to inform future restoration scenarios.
Scope: Proposals should address the economic valuation of existing riparian water resources, development of case studies quantifying economic value, establishment of restoration scenarios with varying flow levels, and comprehensive cost-benefit analysis.
Period of Performance: 10 months from contract execution. Final deliverable due May 31, 2026.
Budget: Not to exceed $150,000.
Minimum Requirements: Experience in economic analysis, environmental economics, and stakeholder engagement. Active federal UEI number required.
Proposal Submission: Five (5) hard copies and one (1) electronic copy on thumb drive must be received by 3:00 p.m. MST on June 16, 2025. No electronic or fax submissions accepted.
